Canadian Polish Athletic Club

Falcon Lodge Resort

CPAC - CUAC and Sinclair Park Legacy

The Canadian Polish Athletic Club (CPAC) has sponsored sports and athletics throughout the North End of Winnipeg for over 70 years.  Our sponsorship also has extended through the Midlands and Seven Oaks area and the entire City of Winnipeg.  CPAC has developed special relationships with the former Boyd Park Community Centre, West End Memorial Community Centre (now Burton Cummings), and Sinclair Park Community Centre.  Our club has also sponsored teams out of Vince Leah Community Centre, Garden City Community Centre, and Tyndall Park Community Centre.

Our relationship with Sinclair Park Community Centre is very deep and started long before we began sponsorship of baseball teams and mini soccer teams in 1990 at Sinclair Park.  We not only sponsor teams, we have sponsored equipment including a balance bar for dancing at the community centre.  For decades our CPAC teams competed feverishly against the Canadian Ukrainian Athletic Club (CUAC) teams at their grounds on Sinclair Street and Arlington Street.  The competitions in softball, baseball and hockey were some of the most epic matches in all of Winnipeg and are cherished memories for many youth and senior players, fans, coaches and managers.  We are very grateful for the excellent relationship that we continue to maintain with Sinclair Park today.

Our membership is very proud to support the 100 Year Legacy Anniversary of the Canadian Ukrainian Athletic Club and Sinclair Park Community Centre.  A special event at Sinclair Park will be held on September 19, 2025 to mark this very special occasion.  Please use the following link to access more information on the event and history of CUAC and Sinclair Park.  CUAC (Canadian Ukrainian Atheletic Club) Winnipeg - Celebrating A 100 Year Legacy

About CPAC

The Canadian Polish Athletic Club Inc. is an organization founded in 1954, to sponsor sports and recreation for youth in the North End of Winnipeg. It is a non-political and non-sectarian club, which bars no youth from participating in it's programs. The philosophy is expressed in our motto:

"Building Youth is Better Than Mending Adults"

The club has sponsored a variety of sports which include women's hockey and softball, men's fastball, curling, youth soccer out of Sinclair Park Community Centre, lawn bowling and junior hockey.

Over the past 60 years the teams have received numerous Civic, Provincial, Western Canada and Canada awards of acclaim on the athletic field.

The club has donated thousands of dollars to worthwhile charities and organizations. Trophies and bursaries have been awarded to students at Isaac Newton and Andrew Mynarski schools for their athletic and scholastic achievments as well as scholarships pressented to Sisler and St. John's High schools to further secondary education. We are proud thast over ten thousand young people, male and female, have benefited from our sponsorship.

Our club is run by a group of dedicated volunteers and in 2001 received the "City of Winnipeg Mayor's Volunteer Award."
